Catching

There are three ways to catch a ball, firstly witht he feet, secondly with eyes and thirdly witht he fingers. In other word players must move towards the ball as it is in the air, look at the ball watch it into your hands and catch the ball with your arms bent. The reason for receiving the ball with the arms bent is so that the player has immediate power in his arms. Having caught the ball the player needs to be ready to pass again, dribble or shoot and we call this position the triple threat position. This simply means that when the player catches the ball he turns and faces the basket, called squaring up and rady to perform one of these three skills.
-Triple threat position.
